League structure
Welcome to the Eccles Ice Penguins Youth Hockey League! We're excited to offer a developmental, in-house hockey program designed for new and growing players.
The Eccles Ice Penguins Youth Hockey League runs year-round. During Fall and Spring, we will focus on skill development through weekly practices, while Summer features a game-based format. Each season is age-grouped and designed to promote growth, teamwork, and a positive hockey experience.
Please note: each season has its own registration fee based on structure and programming.
what to expect
Players will have 1 practice per week, totaling 28 on-ice sessions for the Fall & Spring season. When possible, practices will include dryland training to support athletic development. (Some weeks, we won't have dryland training because of other rink events that get in the way.)
Our program emphasizes skill-building, teamwork, sportsmanship, and most importantly, fostering a lifelong love for the game in a positive and supportive environment.
Program start date
September marks the start of the Eccles Ice Penguins’ season!
Our season officially begins on Monday, September 6th, for the 6U group, with 10U, 12U & 14U hitting the ice on Saturday, September 13th.
The development season will end in April of 2026, with the Summer league & games starting in June of 2026.
