Penguins Hockey League

summer 4-on-4 youth hockey league

Fast-Paced. High-Touch. Fun Summer Hockey.

The Summer 4-on-4 Youth Hockey League features 8 games in a fast-paced, cross-ice 4-on-4 format designed to maximize puck touches and player involvement. Registration includes two league jerseys (light and dark), while small rosters help create more ice time and opportunities with the puck. Players are grouped into age-based divisions, and weekly balanced teams help accommodate summer vacations while keeping games competitive and fun.

‼️Player Readiness Disclaimer‼️

The Summer 4-on-4 League is intended for players who have completed at least one full season of Eccles Ice Penguins or Jr. Aggies hockey , OR are comfortable skating in game situations. Due to the pace of play, beginners or weaker skaters are encouraged to register for the Thursday Beginner League, which is designed for introductory skill development. What is the Summer 4-on-4 League?

The Summer 4-on-4 League includes 8 scheduled games played in a 4-on-4 cross-ice format with three 15-minute runtime periods each game. Three games will be played simultaneously during each session, while small rosters help maximize ice time and puck touches. Coaches will serve as on-ice officials to help maintain a fun and fast-paced environment.

Weekly Balanced Teams

Weekly balanced teams help accommodate summer vacations and missed weeks while keeping games competitive and fun. This format helps maintain balanced teams, prevents rosters from being short on players, and gives participants the opportunity to skate with different teammates throughout the summer.
