🐧 About the Eccles Ice Penguins Youth Hockey League
The Eccles Ice Penguins Youth Hockey League is a community-based, recreational program designed to introduce and develop young hockey players in a fun, supportive, and skill-focused environment. Hosted at the George S. Eccles Ice Center, our league is committed to fostering growth both on and off the ice through teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.
We operate on a year-round, three-season model—Fall, Spring, and Summer—each tailored to support players at every level of development. Fall and Spring sessions emphasize core skill-building and team play, while our Summer season offers a game-based format to apply what players have learned in a fun, competitive setting.
Our league is age-grouped, and each season provides a clear progression path for young athletes. Practices include on-ice instruction and dryland training when available, helping players develop strength, coordination, and hockey fundamentals in a positive atmosphere.
The Eccles Ice Penguins program is built on inclusivity, consistency, and development, making it an ideal starting point for new players or a reliable place for seasoned skaters to grow their game. Whether your child is learning to skate or looking to sharpen their skills, our mission is simple: create a space where every player can thrive, improve, and enjoy the journey.
